Jake did very well in surgery. We were able to pick him up yesterday (Tues) afternoon. I was up with him all day and night and all day today. His leg is all bandaged up and they shave it from the hip down. He has an e collar to prevent him from licking his bandage. He is having trouble adjusting to this giant lamp shade around his neck and spending all day and night in a crate. He is also trying to get used to only being able to lay in one position.
He is a LOT of work. (that is why this is short and a day late) I will post his pathetic pictures soon. Poor guy!
He is a trooper! Today was better than yesterday and hopefully that trend will continue. He gets his stitches out in 14day. Once they are removed he can start swimming. I'm sure this will be a glorious day for him (and me too)! Until then he is limited to his crate, unless he is going potty. When he goes out, he is still confined to a tight leash.
I cannot wait until this phase is over. I will post more details later...
Good night!
